Rocky Mountain Bicycles humbly began in the basement of a Vancouver British Columbia bike shop, in 1981. The employees first imported bikes to sell to their customers. Later, they began manufacturing and importing frames to their exact specifications. Rocky Mountain now produces mountain bikes, road bikes, and urban bicycles. The company has come quite a ways from their modest beginning; however, their core values have never wavered. Rocky Mountain Bicycles is just as sought after now as they were in 1981. 

The Rocky Mountain Fusion 29er is an entry level 29er cross country bike. Don’t let the “entry level” part fool you; this bike is packed with value and quality. TheRocky Mountain Fusion frame is crafted from 6061 series alloy. The alloy is custom hydroformed to exact shapes and then welded. This Cross Country alloy frame has a 70 degree headtube angle. Rocky Mountain has done extensive research and testing to determine that the 70 degree headtube angle is ideal for 29er cross country bikes.

 Bringing value and strength to this great build is the RockShox XC32 100mm 29er fork. This fork has 32mm stanchions and is made for Cross Country. The RockShox XC32 is built for stiffness and is performance orientated. This fork also has a turnkey lock out and rebound. Shimano BR-M446 hydraulic disc brakes are reliable and strong. These brakes can slow you down in a hurry. Shimano Deore cranks keep those wheels moving as you power through the trail. Shimano 9 speed Acera trigger shifters help that chain climb and descend cogs. The 9 speed drivetrain is a proven one. You get the best value and performance from such a drivetrain because years of research and development have gone into perfecting the system. The Rocky Mountain Flare 29er is a great value and great quality.

Rocky Mountain has done a great job and creating an entry level but still high quality 29er cross country bike. Using Shimano, RockShox and Avid components, the Fusion comes in at a terrific value. This bike is perfect for the beginner and armature cross country rider.

Each Rocky Mountain complete bike includes free professional assembly by Jenson USA. Prior to shipping your bike, we will completely build and tune it, just as we would for an in-store purchase. Then, we'll partially disassemble and carefully pack your bike for shipping. Please allow 3 business days for the bike build process prior to shipment.

When your bike arrives, it will take about 30 minutes to unpack and perform basic re-assembly tasks (such as installing the front wheel and seatpost) using common hand tools. Jenson USA has created a helpful video (below) to guide you through this process.
