The Hex Short - manufactured in 100% Taslan - comes complete with short liner and comfort pad. The Hex features a "board short" drawstring waist, zippered vent leg pocket and a Spandex lower back panel. Bar tacked stress points keep it in one piece.

Simple, light shorts that breath well. Works great on the trail or the streets. Top marks for breathability and unrestricted movement. Heavy objects tend to move around in pockets due to light fabric weight. Go to short for long seated spins.

I've had board shorts from kmart last longer than these. I noticed they started to feel weird around the seam below the waistband after the 3rd week of wearing around town rides. It was totally blown out from the front to the back on the right side. So disappointed.

I like how these feel and their use of different fabrics is comfortable, fashionable and breathable. I normally wear a 32" waist and the Medium size fits right. My only complaint is the color was listed as grey but it seems like a light olive to me.

After getting home on my second ride, the exterior shell was completely torn around my crotch. I understand that they were a little tight around my thighs, but that has never happend to my fox shorts.

Good deal on a nice short here. With a price tag under 40.00 (sale), you usually don't get a decent pair of shorts. I picked up a pair of these Royal shorts and was pretty stoked and surprised at the quality of the shorts and the price. I'd buy another pair or two, in fact I may now for summer.
