No more wet pants in the office, that dreaded stripe up your back, or dirt and mud all over your components. SKS Longboard Fenders offer some of the best protection available in a lightweight fender. Slightly longer than standard SKS Chromoplastics, the Longboard offers extended full-fender coverage ensuring that your ride is free of puddle mishaps and mud and dirt spray. SKS Chromoplastic material combines lightweight plastic, aluminum, and copper foil construction, resulting in a corrosion resistant fender that stands up to the elements and resists fading. Secu-Clip "break-away" fittings on front stays avoid blocking of wheel in the event that an object gets lodged between the tire and fender. Included stainless steel hardware is built to last and looks great too!
I ride 20-30 miles every morning and blew the cheap thin plastic stock fenders off my hybrid bike 700c x 35. These are slightly longer than my originals but much stiffer once mounted. Loose they fell kinda floppy and the instructions seam to have been translated from German into English by an app without a proof read by a native English speaker (you are better off only using the pictures and common sense) The mounting system is quite genius and sturdy! Once mounted they are more manageable than solid aluminum fenders and the mounting system allows for more than enough adjustability to fit your exact needs. The silver ones look great with the black pin stripes down the center line. Over all well worth the trouble of having to figure out how the strut mounts work.
I wanted longer fenders for my bike path/commuter bike and this set was perfect. To fit properly I cut down the metal support rods about an inch or so. Not a big deal if you have a hack saw or dremmel. I watched a video online for the assembly and it went smoothly.
great fenders. bought them for a weekend 400 mile ride. very long. about 4 inches from the ground.. caught a couple small sticks on trail,, but these things are like indestructible. long.. but u wont get dirty, soaked.. and your bike stays super clean. a great thing on long trips. less grime. less maintenance. will create some toe / tire over lap, but ull have that. love em.
