I have the 700c version and have been using it on my 29er for over 2 years for some bad weather commuting, and fall/spring trail riding. I have ditched my bike a few times, and the fender just spins around the seat post if it hits anything. It has never fallen off of my bike. Though it does spin too easily, it can be moved out of line of the tire on really bumpy terrain or if it nudged with your leg.
It does NOT droop.
I haven't used any other MTB fenders, but my friends usually break their fenders after one fall. So this one has durability on its side.

Pros:
This fender provides more than ample coverage for how it attaches, at not much cost in weight. It is easy t set up, has a few points of articulation for fine tuning, and does what any fender should do--protect the rider.
Cons:
The design at the clamping mechanism leaves much to be desired. While the strap system allows the fender to be used with any bike, the mechanism itself is its failing. While I have not had any wandering issues except over extremely bumpy terrain, the side of the ratchet meant to hold the strap is held together with even less tension that the quick release. Luckily there is a pin hole there that, ostensibly, was placed to hold the mechanism shut. Unfortunately, the fender does not appear to come with a pin. A disused T10 torx bit fit in perfecly, locking the adjustment, and since then, I have had no issue with the fender.
Bottom Line:
While I am not below tinkering with products I buy, as another reviewer mentioned, it should not be mandatory for the functionality of the product. Go ahead and buy it if you want a fender thatis easily removable, and don't mind tinkering with the design.

Great mud coverage. But the clamps do not work, they slide and on occasion the clamp opens. I use electrical tape to hold the clamp to the seat post every winter and I've had to tighten the bolts and apply locktight. Once I've done this the fender works well.The consumer does not need to rig these products to get them working, very BAD design that the company continues to use every year............. I will not purchase another fender from this company until they fix their design or reduce their price by 80%..........
