Truvativ’s PressFit 30 BB features an integrated seal, pre-assembled into the cups, to further prolong bearing life. The key difference with PressFit 30 is how the bearings are fitted into the frame. Bearings are housed in nylon cups which will be pressed into the frames bottom bracket shell creating a stiffer bb area.
  • Fits 68/73mm bottom bracket shells
  • For 30mm spindle cranks
  • For use with frames that use the PF 30 standard

    Good for weight

Comments about TruVativ SRAM PF30 Bottom Bracket:

Works fine with X0 cranks it came with. One bearing got a little rough after 3 years and about 6000 miles so I did replace. Looked around to see what else is available but for low price and low weight this is hard to beat even if needs replacing every few years.

Comments about TruVativ SRAM PF30 Bottom Bracket:

I installed this BB on my 2013 Kona Jake the Snake CX frame and had issues with it immediately. The first issue was the the instructions provided by SRAM did not match the physically designated Left and Right Cups. After pressing the cups into the frame based on the markings on the cups, we installed a brand new SRAM Red Crank. The bearings became slightly pinched/co,pressed in the BB shell, not allowing the bearings and the crank to spin and operate smoothly. My local shop, Sun Adventure Sports in Lubbock, TX, ordered an FSA crank which the manufacturer used on its complete bikes which has since been installed and operates "smooth as butter". Don't know exactly where the issue lies but it has to do with the BB30 standard and the cups of this BB.
