I have tried 3 different cassettes and although I like the gear ratioof the other ones better, this one shifts so well that I keep putting it back on.Sram cassettes shift alot better than the Shimano HG series of cassettes

New Cassette
I bought this cassette because of the 32t cog. I do wish Sram would come out with a 7 speed that has a 36t.
Works great!

Its Ok
This cassette shifts better than most other Shimanos Ive used. Easy to install and easy to tune shifting through the range of gears. The wide tooth range is also nice as a lot of other cassettes narrower focus either on flats or uphill. It does have a lot of vibration on the smallest cog for some reason...oh well

PROS: Affordable

CONS: Smallest Cog Is Funky

BEST USES: Road Biking, Upgrade, Casual Riding, Mountain Biking

As usual, the...
As usual, the purchase and shipping experience with Jenson was top notch. However, the product itself is as low a quality as you would expect for a 20 dollar cassette. My three smallest cogs arrived out of true. With the bike on a stand, you can see the trued cogs spinning fine, but there is definite wobble on the smallest three cogs as I mentioned. This issue can also be felt while on the bike and pedaling, as they give a vibration sensation throughout the power stroke. Also, the spacers between each of the cogs (this doesn't use a spider) is made entirely out of plastic. I'm afraid my unit was a victim of poor quality control.

The last 7 speed cassette out there
It is probably actually easier to get a 7 speed freewheel than a 7 speed cassette. The 7 speed freewheels are all 12-28 for use on older road bikes. The 12-32 is much bettter for commuting and utility bikes or for older guys with bad knees.

The difference between this cassette and the 8 speed version is this one has no 11 tooth cog. Since nobody who is a normal human needs an 11 it means there is no real difference between this and an 8 speed.

PROS: Compatible with most hubs, Good ratio

CONS: Needs a spacer
