Comments about KS Eten Lever Seatpost:

I installed this seat post on my all mountain bike. It was an easy upgrade that is effective and simple. My only complaint is there is a slight amount of side to side movement, but it is not noticble while in the saddle.

Comments about KS Eten Lever Seatpost:

I am a recreation mountain biker. I ride up the trails and do not shuttle my bike up. I love this seat post. Simple to put on, no extra cables to worry about. I am 6 feet tall and ride an x large Rocky Mountain altitude. This post has the perfect amount of adjustment. It is easy to manipulate. It keeps the seat straight. At least a dozen rides so far and no issues. Can not think how I rode without it. Good price from Jenson. Well worth it.

Comments about KS Eten Lever Seatpost:

Right after installing it I thought the dropper was defective. The symptom was very similar to another reviewer so I thought I would chime in.

The manual lever needs a full range of movement for the dropper to go up and down smoothly. In my case the lever was hitting the bottom of the saddle nose and could not pull up fully. I moved the seat forward slightly and everything started working perfectly!

Comments about KS Eten Lever Seatpost:

I have a KS Lev w/remote on my Stumpjumper and it's in constant use on the trails around my house. Prior to installing it I would just have my seat up in pedaling position and try to work around it on the downhill and technical sections. Stopping to use the quick release means you only sometimes have the seat in the right position.

I recently bought a dedicated DH bike, and the challenge is the opposite. The seat is down almost all the time, except for sections you have to pedal up or across. Trying to pedal from the dropped position almost makes the bike feel like it's too heavy to pedal. And it kills your knees.

The cable routing for a remote dropper means you aren't going to switch it between bikes, and there aren't always elegant routing options for every type of bike. The eTen manual is affordable, very clean, and super simple to install. I think it's the best option for a dropper on a DH bike, and for anyone who might be thinking about a dropper but isn't sure how often it will get used.

Comments about KS Eten Lever Seatpost:

I installed the seat post on my bike, torquing the bolts to the manufacturer's specified torque values with my torque wrench. Went for a 10 minute ride without even using the seat post, never put the bike upside down (I heard that the air could mix with the oil ad make it useless for a few cycles), but the thing does not work anymore!

It lovers really slowly, and I have to pull to get it back up, and even with that, it goes up reaaaall slow too. I disassembled it following KS's tech video on the E-Ten, and reassembled it. Everything was fine, but it must be the gas strut that's not working properly.

Anyway, I got if for a great price, but it's still a lot of money down the drain, and I'm in Canada so it's not worth sending it back for warranty. I'll see what the distributor or Jenson can do, but I'm installing my telescopic seat post as soon as I can and will stop to lower my seat!

I have to give one star to this product because I've never seen anything fail this soon and be as not reliable.
