Best I've had
If you buy these in a size that is long enough to reach your ankle you have full protection right to the top of your shoe and they won't slip down. I wear these almost all the time now even on rides that have climbing (like Palm Canyon in Palm Springs, 26 miles, 2000 ft climbing and 112 rides on Cannell also 26 miles and 2400 ft climb). Seems like they breath quite well and the liner material has proved very durable. Been using them for 3 years and have only had to fix one strap.

Great protection, but a bit bulky
So these shinguards have a lot going for them. Great protection (ankle to above knee), generally stay in place, comfortable and cheap. However, they are just a bit big and bulky feeling. Perhaps I bought too big a size or maybe this is just the nature of full leg armor. I still happily wear these on downhill days. They are actually comfortable enough to wear even when there is a good bit of pedaling to be done, just prefer not to.

PROS: Comfortable, Affordable

CONS: Bulky

BEST USES: Mountain Biking, Extreme Sports
