The Cardo BK-1 is the world’s first Bluetooth cycling communication and entertainment system. The Cardo BK-1 allows its users to communicate with 3 other Cardo BK-1 cyclists. Connect to your Bluetooth on your mobile phone, GPS, and MP3 player. Whether you are cycling alone or in a group, the Cardo BK-1 will make cycling more sociable, entertaining, and safer.
Use the Cardo BK-1 intercom when cycling with friends or your significant other. The Cardo BK-1 allows simultaneous intercom cycling communication between 3 cyclists at a distance up to 500m/ 1,640 feet. Cyclists can ride at a distance and still remain in contact with one another. If you are planning to introduce your significant other to cycling, the BK-1 will ensure that they feel safe and connected at all times. If a rider has a flat tire or takes a digger, this can be communicated with amongst riders, so riders know to turn around or wait. The Cardo BK-1 allows you to answer calls while on the trail. Listen to your favorite jams while on a solo ride. Should a call come in, the music will go silent, so you’re able to answer to call. You’ll never be alone with the BK-1.
The intuitive Voice Command operation and Click-to-Link® allow you to keep your hands on the bar, instead of fumbling on your phone while riding. With intuitive embedded voice control, cyclists almost never have to remove their hands from the handlebars. To accept an incoming call simply say “Yes.” The Cardo BK-1 will connect the call for you. High end speakers hovering above the ears deliever excellent quality sound and comfort.
The Cardo BK-1 is feather- light. Weighing less than 50 grams, you’ll hardly notice it sitting on your helmet. If you should ride through a small creak or get caught in a summer rain, do not fear. The Cardo BK-1 is waterproof and dustproof.

Comments about Cardo BK-1 Cycling Bluetooth System:
"Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." Arthur C. Clarke
That quote sums it up. The other day, at the end of a long ride, my wife called me. I talked to her for a minute when she asked what I was doing. She could not tell I was riding even though I was doing about 25 mph down a slight hill. The phone call breaks into the music I'm listening to on my iphone, so I can't miss the call. Volume even adjusts to wind noise if you are going fast.
I usually ride alone, so I have not used the intercom. I used the Cardo motorcycle bluetooth headset (Scala Rider) for 2 years as a full time motorcycle courier, so I jumped at the chance to get their bicycle version. The Cardo BK-1 works every bit as well as their Scala Rider for motorcycles. Cell phone clarity is so clear, no one can tell you are riding unless you are out of breath.
