Comments about Intense Tire Systems Intense Tires 909 26" FR MTB Tire:
I bought these tires with the best of intentions. Hoping so much for these tires to work out but they didn't. The beads slip on the rim even when the tire/tube is pumped up to the allowed maximum pressure. I had two tube valve stems torn off within an hour of riding due to the rim and the beads slipping. A failure investigation revealed that the tire rubber compound on the beads are as slippery as teflon. So the tire gripping the rim will never be a possibility. These tires are a bad design or bad quality control.
