Ultra Speed Blend Carbon Frame that includes a 100mm Travel Independent Drivetrain®. GT’S patented Independent Drivetrain system keeps your efforts concentrated where they belong by virtually eliminating pedal lag and giving you a smooth transition between uphill and downhill. GT’s proprietary Forced Optimized Constructed (F.O.C.) carbon construction enables a frame that is both rigid and lightweight to greatly reduced flex, without adding unnecessary material. The Fox Float CTD rear shock allows the rider to toggle between Climb, Trail and Descend modes for optimized speed, efficiency, and control in whatever situation the trail may throw at you. The RockShox Recon Gold RL features a 15mm thru axle for torsional stiffness, a tapered alloy steerer for sturdiness and responsiveness, and lockout switch for rigidity.

With that said, the Zaskar Carbon 100 9R Elite comes outfitted with a Shimano Deore front derailleur, crankset and shifters for reliable, predicable shifting that won’t miss a beat. To keep the overall cost compelling and performance optimized where it counts the most, GT hung a Shimano SLX rear derailleur. The cockpit is cleverly assembled with some of the biggest names in the game, including Crankbrothers Cobalt 1 seatpost and handlebar, Easton EA50 stem, and Fizik Tundra2 Mg saddle.
Due to its speed capabilities and the ability to roll over rocks and roots more efficiently than a 26” wheel, the 29” wheel size is the premier choice for XC riders at all levels. The wheel build combination consisting of Alex XD-Lite rims, All Terra Lightweight Alloy hubs, DT Swiss Competition spokes, and Maxxis Aspen tires, delivers bomb proof durability, low rolling resistance and plenty of grip when cornering.
