Great shoes!!! Run a bit small though. Easy to use and install cleats. I have used them for several months already and they are still intact.

Comments about Giro Carbide MTB Shoe 2012:

Although these were my first pair of clip-less shoes, I feel that they have contributed to a very easy transition from platforms for me. I use these in conjunction with Shimano Pd-M250 pedals, and these shoes have performed perfectly so far. The uppers and out-soles seem like they are holding up very well.

These are good quality and good performing shoes. What one would expect from Giro. However, these are a very light grey, rather than a dark grey as they appear in the picture.

Comments about Giro Carbide MTB Shoe 2012:

Purchased this shoe specifically for cycling/spinning classes during the winter. Typically riding road / tri events, so I can't comment on how good this shoe might be for mountain biking. Just wanted something with clips that I could walk in (easier than road shoes).

Comments about Giro Carbide MTB Shoe 2012:

I do a lot of trail riding and this shoe is much stiffer than my specialized Tahoe so I have better power transfer. They are fairly new, so they need time to break in for the full test. So far I like them.

I just received the package and sadly saw that the shoes did not fit to my size 43 feet even though I've ordered a size 43,5. They are more like size 42's. Take that into consideration when ordering.

Fits great, and no laces. My first time clipping in, so still getting used to it, but I find them very comfortable, very good fit according to the sizing chart, and they seem very durable.

I got a half size big and it fits perfectly, so they do run a bit small. I've used it on a handful of rides to replace some Shimano SPD shoes and they feel much better for my wide feet. Much easier to put on too without laces. Although, my only quirk is the top strap feels too close to my top ankle and I have to strap it loose so it doesn't cut off circulation to my ankle. Sturdy, strong, takes a beating on single tracks I do.
