Fuji Outland 29 3.0 Bike 2012

Photo is for illustration purposes only. You will be shipped a complete bike with the components listed below.

Summiting hills and mountain tops is all a part of the joy and seduction of mountain biking. Therefore, it is rather fitting that when Fuji was founded in 1899 , it was named after Mount Fuji, a Japanese symbol of strength and endurance, and one of the most iconic and Majestic mountain peaks in the world. With that said, Fuji is a brand that believes in the core characteristics in which cycling represents; strength, endurance, challenge, and triumph. The same can be said about their bikes.

The 2012 Outland 29 3.0 is held together with the A6-SL alloy frame, making it incredibly durable. The hydroformed top and down tube provide a more upright geometry for more comfort and better rider endurance, while shaving off precious weight. The versatile Shimano Deore front derailleur, rear derailleur, and Deore Rapid Fire shifters contain the same key functions as its Deore XT big brother, but at an affordable cost, whilst providing the kind of shifting efficiency that no rider should be without. The Shimano M552 Hollow Tech crankset, Shimano Press-Fit bottom bracket, and Shimano Deore 11-36 cassette provide a drivetrain with a big gear selection that is full of possibilities. Having three chain rings give the bike an extra set of gears, making climbing steep grades more comfortable for the rider.

The Fuji Outland 29 3.0 comes complete with full suspension courtesy of RockShox. In the rear you have RockShox Bar R and up front you have the RockShox XC 32 TK 29 fork with 100mm of travel, making trudging over rocks, roots, and other obstacles less violent. The oval M250 alloy flat bar is a 710mm wide handlebar! These extra wide handlebars make handling this 29” beast easy and provide more leverage for climbing harsh mountain slopes.

The Fuji Outland 29 3.0 2012 is an able bike fitted with components that allow it to be affordable and performance ready, which will be certain to surmount whatever terrain you may come upon. The Outland 29 3.0 is strong and endurance proven, and will be sure to meet the challenge and triumph!

Comments about Fuji Outland 29 3.0 Bike 2012:

I´ve had this bike for a week now. And I just can´t spend a day without using it! I'm not a bike expert, and must say this is my first bike with this much equipment, and can't believe how good it is. Definitely "best value for my money" bike.

Comments about Fuji Outland 29 3.0 Bike 2012:

It may not be a big name brand like Specialized, Cannondale, Giant, etc. but Fuji did a great job with this one. Although it is an entry-level FS mountain bike, You won't find a new FS mountain bike with Deore/Rockshox components for under $1200. Plus components don't change drastically after two years. I'm glad I purchased it and I plan on upgrading a few parts since JensonUSA didn't have the 1.0 in my size. I have taken it through trails and some light downhill without any issues. I would recommend to change the saddle since has it has no support whatsoever and the fork is a coil suspension (not air). The Bar R isn't versatile either but that's alright. Still a great bike and looks good too!

Comments about Fuji Outland 29 3.0 Bike 2012:

This is hands down the best bike for the money! I test rode comparable Trek and Specialized bikes at my local bike shop before purchasing this, and I honestly cannot tell the difference between these bikes - other than the fact that the Trek and Specialized were three times the price. I have been mountain biking for about 15 years and this bike is replacing a 15 year old Specialized with full suspension. The Fuji is leaps and bounds better than my old bike!

My only complaints are the size (it's BIG!) and the seat. I am 5'11 with a 30" pant inseam. I ordered a medium (19") and there is about 1" clearance between me and the middle bar when I'm standing over the middle bar. I never thought I'd ever fit a small bike, but in this case it is what I should have ordered. Secondly, the seat is really hard and uncomfortable. I hate to give it up because the white is very stylish with the bike, but I'll end up replacing it with something that won't leave me bruised!

Comments about Fuji Outland 29 3.0 Bike 2012:

TBH, I was looking for the best valued F/S bike online and JensonUSA had it right on point with this one after much research. It may be a couple years old but components don't change that dramatically. I would have bought either the 2.0 or 1.0 if they had the 17" frame but this was still a great value. I haven't put that many miles on this bike yet it's been through some rough trails and light downhill with no problems. However, I would recommend buying a new saddle and rear shock. This is a solid bike and looks good too!

Comments about Fuji Outland 29 3.0 Bike 2012:

I purchased the outland 2.0 same as this one just better shocks, and its a dream to ride, I transitioned from a 26 to this 29 and its 10x better. I shopped around for bike deals and compared close to 30 bikes and this one its a steal. Jesonusa shipped it and 6 days later I had the bike at home (ATLANTA).I cannot be more content with this purchase best money ever spent! I will like to Thank Lee @ jensonusa for answering all my questions.

Comments about Fuji Outland 29 3.0 Bike 2012:

Great bike overall. One thing to note is Fuji bikes run big. I am 6'1 215 lbs and a 19" fits me perfect, a 21" would have been huge.

Rides smooth, you can add air to the rear shock to stiffen it up. You can also get a stiffer spring for the front shock if needed.

      Very happy with this purchase

I had a fuji Outland 2005 and this was the replacement for my stolen bike.

This rides smoother than my 2005, that was expected but not how smooth, its just such a fun ride!

The color and design are sexy and sleek, you need to get a great lock if you ever leave this thing un attended, everyone is always staring at.

      Great price too!
