Giro Jacket MTB Shoes Discontinued

Fine-tuned for a life spent crushing dirt jumps, drops, and downhill runs, the Giro Jacket shoe is a skate-style shoe that interfaces efficiently with platform pedals and provides a comfortable shock absorbing sole for those who ride against the pull of gravity. The Jacket comes armed to the laces with bicycle specific features. A Vibram rubber outsole is custom engineered for exceptional pedal grip and an EVA midsole with Poron XRD heel cushioning minimizes the impact of hard landings and bailouts. Classic street style makes the Jacket a killer dual-purpose shoe that fits in just as well in everyday scenarios as it does on the trail.

Features:

  • Skate Style Upper
  • Internal bootie retention system
  • Vibram rubber outsole with excellent pedal zone grip
  • EVA midsole with Poron® XRD™ heel cushioning
  • Aegis Single Density Footbed
  • Weight: 416 grams (size 42)

Comments about Giro Jacket MTB Shoes:

These are OK at best. I have 510s and these don't have the traction. Shoes are stiff and hurt my feet on the sides. Sizing is tricky at 10.5 i went with the 44. Riding traction is better than other shoes, but i can see them having much more traction that your average Vans. I would pass these up and get the Tevas if your aiming for more comfort, or 510 for all out traction.
