Nice sturdy wheels, I have no worries about failure while hammering down rocky trails. I have a hardtail bike and the back wheel takes a beating. My previous wheel had double wall rims that were starting to open up at the butt weld on the rear wheel. My only complaint is there are too many advertising decals, 4 on each side of the wheel. I used a hair dryer to warm them up, then carefully peeled 3 of the 4 decals off of each side. Tedious process. The rims have an outer width of 31mm, in case you're ordering a Stan's Tubeless system.

Im a 220 lb male who has been slowely tuning my Bikes Direct Mountain bike to tackle very rugged technical singletrack in the Northeast. My bike is surprisingly capable for the money but nevertheless I thought upgrading to a stronger cooler looking wheel was in order. The outlaws have great reviews for their strength and are recommended for bigger cyclists so the marketing hype got me. I was initially disappointed with the cheap stickers on the wheels that weren't even perfectly placed on the wheel but standing back the wheels do look cool. I tried to run non UST Nevegals with Gorilla tape and it failed miserably, so I went back to tubes and got to riding. The wheels are very smooth and offer an advantage in what seems to be less friction and easier power transfer. I ride very rugged singletrack and they held up nicely through rocks, roots and mud pits. Unfortunately I did biff hard and now the front wheel is very out of true. I would understand this, but the no name wheels that came on the bike have been with me through far more violent crashes and never bent at all. Ultimately Im angry at myself for dropping 360 dollars on flashy wheels. I think its time to re-examine my priorities as a mountain biker.

Comments about Azonic Outlaw 26" Wheelset:

The first day I rode these I cased a 22 foot double 2 feet short on my hardtail. The rear rim is still straight and didn't flat-spot. These are heavy but built well. Highly recommended to any aggressive rider looking for a tough rim set that will last. *It's hard to mount a folding bead tire on these because of the width.

Comments about Azonic Outlaw 26" Wheelset:

Purchased these wheels in green and they looked great out of the box. I keep my bikes stored inside but within a year the color had faded to a yellowish hue of nasty. I contacted Azonic who offered to sell me another set at a discount. Wheels are heavy too, I would have kept them for my DH bike but they were so ugly and I was mad Azonic would not stand behind the product and at least replace the rims. Anyway I switched out to mavic crossmax which are way lighter and plenty strong.

Wheels look really sharp out of the box. I bought green. Within a year faded to yellow slime. Azonic wouldn't help me. I gave up on flashy wheels sold them. I bought a used set of mavic crossmax for same price. Saved like 2lbs and just as strong. I might have kept them for my dh bike if they weren't so butt ugly now. My bikes are stored indoors the rapid color fade was such a burn as was the customer service, although they are very friendly

Comments about Azonic Outlaw 26" Wheelset:

Great wheels. I bought them for my GT Force after one ride bent the back rim to the point of no repair. I am very impressed by the quality of these. The sprocket sounds like it will last a long time and engages quickly. The rims are significantly wider than my original rims. Not sure the reason for this but they feel like they will be much stronger. I am not sure why you would comment on the weight of these wheels. If you're a competition biker and you need to worry about every gram you should be spending more on wheels anyway. I wanted some solid wheels that'll handle just about anything on the trail without breaking the bank. And I think that description fits these wheels perfectly.

Good wheel set for the price. They are on the heavy side, but not so much that it affects my riding. I purchased a set for my wife, she liked them so I bought a set for my bike. No complaints.

bought wheels for the color (green) which faded to an ugly snot green. Wheels are heavy and not noticeably stronger than my previous set, for the same price bought a used set of mavic crossmax they are lighter and stronger, but no cool colors, but what good is the color if it fades. Oh and I contacted azonic about the fade, they offered to sell me a new set a discount. No thanks the faded color was not my fault my bike is stored in a garage

Purchased the red wheels for SC Nomad. I have been beating up on these wheels for close to two years and they show almost no sign of abuse. Very reliable and worth the weight. They look even better when you peel the stickers off of the rim.

I have a set of Outlaws and they outlasted my bike. I cracked the frame on my Astrix Stryke, so I bought an Intense Uzzi frame and put the Outlaws on the new bike. Still going strong. I'm 6'and 230 pounds. The rims are about the only component that haven't given me any trouble.
