I bought the tires at the store and yes they are cheap for a reason. that is due to the tires being bent out of shape. all i did was leave them in the sun through out the day and they were super easy to install! The tire provides and awesome tread that can handle any terrain! all my riding buds run the same tire from Jenson now and we have no regrets!!

I usually run a 26x2.5 Kenda nevegal on my front and saw the telonix 2.6 for cheap so I figured I would give it a try. I was pretty disappointed when I opened the box and saw how misshapen and deformed the tires were... like they had been at the bottom of the stack for quite some time. I left them out in the Utah summer sun for a while and was able to put them on with the assistance of some tire levers. Once on and inflated, they seemed very solid and in the shape that a normal tire should be in... then I went for a DH run... these tires gripped fine and the extremely heavy DH casing will make it so you never get a pinch flat. Kenda seems to run a little wider than other tires and the 2.6 is HUGE!I felt as if I was hitting and bouncing off every rock on the run.

Comments about Kenda Telonix 26" Stick-E Tire:

I ride 5 days a week on steep fire roads in San Diego, CA, may of which are washed out in some sections, leaving ruts and loose rock for you to negotiate carefully. I can't comment on Downhill use because I don't ride aggressively downhill. I enjoy trying to climb everything that looks remotely "climb-able". I have been running the typical 2.35" front with a 2.1" rear and that works great. When I saw the price on these, I thought I should try them out for fun. I did end up buying another set of tubes for the larger tires. The tires arrived squashed and misshapen, so I heated them up the sun and installed them while still warm. You need to use a set of decent tire levers and pull the tire back as you move the lever toward your pullin hand. If you can enlist someone to help, it will go faster. The tires and tubes are much heavier than what I was using and you will hear the difference on the road. That said, while the tires added more resistance, they made up for it in grip (had them at 50 psi). I rarely spin out on loose sections and I can often recover from getting off track on sections that would have required me to put my foot down to stop a fall. I really like these tires. And while I notice the added weight and resistance, I like the stability and grip.

Comments about Kenda Telonix 26" Stick-E Tire:

tires are beefy, and aggressive, but the wire bead is a killer to get on Outlaw rims! have some large tire levers handy. tires were really deformed from sitting on the pile too long, took a long time to seat both beads.

Comments about Kenda Telonix 26" Stick-E Tire:

I put this tire on my enduro bike, mainly because I like going downhill more than up. It's a bit heavy during the climb and tough to get the wire bead to set on the rims (had to pump up to 60psi), but no flats as of yet (5 months of summer/fall riding). The tire grips easily in dirt, but I was impressed with the grip on slick wet granite and wet roots. It allowed me to trust my equipment and give me more confidence in my riding abilities through the downhill portions of my rides.
