POC designed the Cortex Flow full face helmet around a fiberglass outer shell that offers the level of protection that we have come to expect from POC. The venting in the shell directs the air flow into the helmet to keep your head more comfortable during your runs.
What can’t be seen is the EPP core that is designed to withstand multiple impacts that would finish off an EPS core helmet. That durability will keep you out on the trail longer with the same degree of protection that you started with. Within the helmet, POC designers also carved out generous space around the ear cavity to keep hearing and balance intact. The distance between the face and the chinguard has also been optimized for the highest degree of protection in the POC Cortex Flow.
