Be careful, rear hub/freehub failed
I bought this 29er set in February 2013. they were for a Niner SIR 9 I was building up as a back up bike. I had less than 100 miles on them. I was riding up a small hill the other day when my cranks started to just spin. I stopped to check it over. All was tight, so I figured it was something wrong with my freehub or pawls, etc. Once home, I took the cassette off to see a lot of metal shavings along with the notches in the hub all gouged out. I called Azonic to explain what happened. I sent them my receipt and lots of pictures. The boss there said he never saw this before, so he didn't think this was a warranty issue. Now, a wheel that is 90 days owned with such few miles and has internal issues like this, how can they even think this isn't a warranty issue. I am very disappointed in these wheels. I am 200lbs. I mostly ride XC trails with some rock areas, small drops, etc. Just be aware of their customer service. I would avoid these wheels.

PROS: Easy To Install, Looks good

CONS: Not Durable, Bad Customer Service, Heavy

If you'd rather be waiting than riding, buy these.
I ride three times a week, east coast singletrack. I'm 200lbs and have these on a Santa Cruz Superlight 29er. Once every three months the rear hub blows up. The original freehub had three pawls in it. The warranty replacement had four pawls in it. Now I'm STILL waiting once again for another freehub replacement...the last because of the year warranty. This rear wheel has spent more time hanging in my garage than on the trail.
Don't buy this wheelset!
Jenson has been excellent in the customer service, but I really wish I never bought these.
A mountainbike wheelset should be tough...this is not.

PROS: Customer Service, Attractive Design

CONS: Rear Hub Weak, Not Durable

A deal this good should be illegal
Had these wheels 6 months and I love em. They are as true as when they came out of the box. No compatibility issues what so ever with my SS cog (20). In the turns, they are stiff and in the straights easily aimed. The trails they roll over are rooty and technical-- no drops however-- not into that. Considering they replaced a set of stock wheel on my 29er, they actually are 1 lb lighter-- as far the weight issue -- remember these are trail wheels NOT race wheels. Im 6'2" 217 Lb.

PROS: Durable, Easy To Install, Attractive Design, Stiff As A Steel Rod

BEST USES: Mountain Biking, Singlespeed

Great wheel for a great price
I purchased a pair of outlaws at sea otter in 2014 and they have more than held up to the beatings I give them. I purchased a second pair here for a custom build on an Transition Covert 29er. these wheels are by far the best bang for the buck. Azonic makes great products.

I've put this wheel set through its paces, and they have remained rock steady. Speaking of rocks, they roll over them with ease!

Very durable. I do small jumps and drops and I weigh 195 and the wheels have held up really well. Almost no maintenance needed so far.

really tough wheels
I used these for a year on my Paradox, and they worked perfectly (they take a beating!). I got rear-ended in my car when my bike was on a rack on the back. The rear Azonic Outlaw 29er took the main hit. The rim bent (2.75" to the side), spokes got tensioned and snapped, and the hub's flanges got bent from the over-tensioning. But the rim didn't even crack! Tough stuff. I bought another pair to replace the damaged ones. They're great.

They come with all kinds of rear axles, plus scewers and 20mm adapters for the front.
