Super smooth!!!
Bottom bracket spins super smooth. Expensive, but worth the price in my opinion ( especially if you live in very wet areas of the world , i.e. Southeast Alaska ). Quality is top notch. I purchased the red color and it matches very well with other companies red components. Ceramic bearings ARE that much better.

Biggest single imrovement to my bike...
I was unprepared for how much of a difference this bottom bracket made to my riding experience.

First of all, this is a quality piece from one end to the other. Even the center tube of the bracket is machined, anodized aluminum, It is beautiful in blue and exudes quality and value. But...

... the real magic happens the first time you turn your crank over. It is hard to describe the silky smooth feel that transmits power through this bearing to your rear tire. I had been using $30-$45 bottom brackets previously and just thought they all felt the same. I was very wrong. Much of the effort I was experiencing prior to this Hope was actually BB friction under pressure.

I am a short, powerful rider on a 2005 Specialized Epic and a am hard on my bike, relying on power more often than spinning since converting to a 1 X 9 drive train. But after just one ride, I switched from a 34T chainring to a 36T because the ceramic Hope was so much smoother and more efficient I found I could spin faster with less effort and frequently could tap out my top gear with the 34T.

It's a pretty bold statement to say I had to move up a couple of teeth in my chainring just because of a smoother bottom bracket, but that's exactly what happened.

And the thing is silent. No more nebulous, grinching sounds coming from the drive train. I always wondered what 'that' sound was. It was a cheap bottom bracket begging for mercy.

If you've got the money to cover the cost of one of these burning a hole in your pocket and are wondering how best to use it to upgrade your ride, look no further. Is it better than any of the other premium ceramic offerings out there? Couldn't say. But I can say you will NEVER regret putting one of these on. It's that good. It's the single, biggest change I've ever made to my bike. Easy 5-star rating. Two thumbs up with a wiggle.

PROS: Ultra Smooth, Friction Free, Stunning Looks

CONS: Absolutely None

Ceramic bearing are really a difference.
When I broke up my XT BB, I started researching what´s the "state of the art" in BB, I found ceramic bearings BB seems to be one step above the steel B. But my LBS told me Ceramics are not for Mountain Bikes and the difference in performance is minimal. I already install it on my Tallboy and comparing my heart rate and average speed on the same course, with the Hope I have a low HR and a Higher average speed. Let´s wait to check the durability.

PROS: Made In England, Attractive Design, Easy To Install, Performance

CONS: Perhaps Durability

I seem to go through bottom brackets on my 2014 GT Sensor every season and looking for options that will last the life of the bike (or at least a couple of years) will these ceramic bearings fit my needs?
DrewP on Sep 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I had a name brand bottom bracket go out in a season, went with the hope ceramic and am ending season two on it now.
Will this work with a race face next sl g4 crankset?
todd h on Jul 13, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No. G4 crankset has a 30mm spindle. This is 24mm. Hope does make the 68/73 in a 30mm just not ceramic. I think it's aluminum, but I would recommend over ceramic anyway. You have to use special grease which is expensive and in my experience the alloy last just as long and is just as fast pending you take care of your bb.
Is this compatible with an Easton EC90 SL road/cx crankset?
Kevin C on Jun 19, 2017
BEST ANSWER: No. You'll want to use the Easton bottom bracket for the Easton crank.
