Since day one GT has been no stranger to downhill racing success due to their longstanding position as the leader of Downhill technology. Rachel and Gee Atherton proved this as they took a double World Cup victory at Fort William, which only points out one of the more recent successes. There were many more before, and will be many more to come. GT has made an addition to their family with the Fury Alloy series, which greatly broadens GT’s spectrum of Downhill bikes while integrating the latest Downhill technology to prove why GT is still ahead.
The GT Fury World Cup is an easy-handling, bombproof, downhill racing machine! The 2014 Fury frame features a GT's COR Downhill Design 6061-T6 construction with 220mm of travel and GT's signature Independent Drivetrain™ suspension system with forged pivots, promising an invigorating combination of rollover ability and agility. You’ll ooze confidence when riding the Fox 40 RC2 fork with 203mm of travel (adjustable high/low speed compression and rebound) and a 20mm thru-axle for maximum strength and stiffness. In the rear the Fury employs a Fox DHX RC4 shock with adjustable rebound and high/low speed compression. Bumps? What bumps?
Since downhill racing can be unforgiving, GT knows there can be zero compromise on quality components. This is why GT equipped the Fury World Cup with a top-of-the-line race-ready Shimano Saint rear derailleur and shifter with RapidFire shifting that will take you to the next level. The e.thirteen LG1+ are rock solid and provide unparalleled durability that can withstand high-speed impact. Riding a bike under the mercy of gravity requires the best stopping power. Shimano Saint hydraulic disc brakes feature a 4-piston design to provide ultimate stopping power. Whether you're dusting the competition in a weekend race or doing shuttle runs at your local bike park, the Fury World Cup is suited for pure enjoyment!
