I test rode my Felt Nine 80 before I purchased it. After riding for twenty minutes I could tell I would need another saddle. I felt sore for at least a couple days. I ordered the WTB Speed V Comp saddle and put it on when I picked up the bike. I have been very happy with it. I'm back to biking after many many years and I'm getting back in shape. I can feel a little bit of fatigue towards the end of a long ride, but I attribute that to my muscles getting back strength. After the ride though I don't feel any soreness in my sit bones. This makes it easier to ride frequently, there is no recovery time needed for my backside. I also have chronic back issues from herniated Lumbar discs, and I have not had any problems with my lower back related to riding.

The seat is very well constructed of quality materials, and looks very nice. I read a number of good reviews about this saddle before I got it, and I feel they were all very accurate. I highly recommend it if you need a comfortable saddle that is still conducive to XC riding.

This seat came on a new bike I purchased and I promptly bent the seat stays. Ordered another seat which lasted a few more months, but again the seat stays bent. I have not had this problem with other saddles. This product is ok for the price I guess, but I didn't realize what I was missing comfortwise until I tried something else.

Comments about WTB Speed V Comp Saddle 2014:

This saddle came with a new bike I purchased. Worked well enough for about two months, at which point a very mild crash bent the seat out of shape. Attempts to straighten it accomplished nothing, and into the trash it went.

Comments about WTB Speed V Comp Saddle 2014:

Great budget saddle. Bought as a replacement for a Bontrager Evoke 1 on my Trek. The Bontrager was always just so so. Once it got uncomfortable on a long ride, you were pretty much suffering for the rest of the ride. Threw the MTB on last night and noticed an immediate improvement. Rode 23 today with no discomfort and no cycling shorts on. Very pleased with this purchase

Comments about WTB Speed V Comp Saddle 2014:

Bought this to replace the default Velo saddle on my Norco Indie 2. It's slightly smaller and fits my sit bones better. The padding is a bit more comfortable as well, but also this saddle has a slight 'depression' in the middle that seems to keep me from sliding forward on the saddle. This was an issue with my old one, where the back padding seemed to constantly push me off the best position.

Only downside is the exposed lacing on the saddle, which could lead to durability issues in the future. None so far though

Training for a 75 mile ride, did a test 50 mile ride at local trail. Found that after about 40 miles, my old saddle was painful. Ordered this as a replacement. Immediately liked it....then did the 75 mile event. Was an excellent choice - had no pain or soreness from this saddle at all. Would definitely get this one again!

Comments about WTB Speed V Comp Saddle 2014:

This seat is the perfect weight comfort compromise. I personally think it is by no means heavy, but it is heavier than average. It has enough padding to be comfortable, without having to throw a 10 pound gel saddle on your bike. Leather feels quality and it looked great on my bike. So far so good and I would recommend for all.

Comments about WTB Speed V Comp Saddle 2014:

I bought this for me cheap Rigid Build. Its a good price for what it is. The weight is expected for steel rails and low price point. My only real gripe is the large thick stitched seams. The seams are large enough to feel through a chamois.

Comments about WTB Speed V Comp Saddle 2014:

This seat is cheap and comfortable at the same time. I bought one, and it was good, then I tried a $90 seat made by a different company for my other bike, and I shouldn't have. The more expensive set was less comfortable, so I bought a 2nd Speed V to replace it. The Speed V isn't all that wide, but I prefer to not ride on an especially wide seat. This is also a very good bike for commuting and storing outside, since the set doesn't soak up water when it gets rained on. It is possible that there are more expensive seats out there that I might like better, but I can't afford to try them, and I'm plenty satisfied enough with this one!

I ride 4 to 5 times a week, all trail, was using a factory Scott saddle, this one was a big difference, soft & comfortable, for the price you can't go wrong, 2 other riders I know also have this saddle and they have kept up in durability..
