Maxxis Minion DHF EXO 60A Folding Tire

The Minion DHF was designed for the often loose and muddy conditions of aggressive all-mountain terrain. The DHF uses ramped knobs for a low rolling resistance and channel-cut knobs to increase gripping edges, providing straight-line control and precise cornering. The EXO protection is a densely woven, lightwight, and highly flexible fabric that offers excellent sidewall protection to prevent cuts or abrasions in rock gardens or rooted trail areas.

Maxxis Minion DHF EXO 60A Folding Tire Features

  • Designed for low rolling resistance and precise cornering
  • Depending on course conditions, DHF works well front and rear or as a front paired with DHR
  • Directional, ramped knob design
  • Lightweight, single-ply casing

Comments about Maxxis Minion DHF Exo 26" Tire:

I originally intended this tire to spearhead my Heckler, currently running a 2.3 Maxxis Highroller II on the rear. To my dismay, the 2.5 Minion is considerably skinnier than the 2.3 HRII. I prefer a fatter tire up front, so disappointing as far as its intended purpose.

However, the tire has happily found a home on the rear wheel of my steel hardtail. The traction, both uphill and down, is superb, and as it's probably the fattest tire that will fit in the rear triangle, there it will stay.

Comments about Maxxis Minion DHF Exo 26" Tire:

Use to ride only Bontrager XR4 which I like very much, but due to sidewall cuts didn't buy again. I was blown away how good minion grips in all kinds of conditions. I knew about maxxis lower volume and bought size 2.5 and it still has lower volume than bontrager XR4 2.35. But 2.5 is perfect. Will stick with this tire. It seems that it has more rolling resistance but I could be wrong. Not bad at all. Better then expected.

Comments about Maxxis Minion DHF Exo 26" Tire:

I'm using this tubeless on the front, though it's not a UST tire.

I had trouble getting the bead to seat but eventually managed with the help of a tire lever to pull the bead onto the rim. The bead leaked, but I swirled the sealant up toward the bead and now it's OK.

It was more costly than the Nevegals that I normally use, but I hope it's more durable.

This provides great cornering and braking, big knobs, and big volume.

Comments about Maxxis Minion DHF Exo 26" Tire:

Ive tried all kinds of tires on my nomadc in southern california and these are the best Ive used. They grip very well, have aggressive knobs yet are lightweight and fast rolling. The exo sidewall is stronger than a single ply sidewall and offers good protection.

        Grippiest AM tire

Comments about Maxxis Minion DHF Exo 26" Tire:

I have this tire on my AM bike and doesn't get any better. Amazing grip, good rolling resistance (for the type of tire), etc. SOme times you have to compromise weight, or rolling resistance to grip, but Maxxis knows how to balance it all out. For an AM bike, there is no other choice and I recomend it to everyone.

One of the best tires out there

Comments about Maxxis Minion DHF Exo 26" Tire:

I live in Tahoe and this is my go to to front tire. Amazing traction, long lasting, no flats even at lower pressure. At first I was skeptical of running a 2.5 on my every day ride. It was clear on the first ride that the amazing traction made the size and weight worth while. I've been running the same one for a season and a half and it still has tread left.
