Much smaller and lighter than a full knee/shin guard, the T-Bone knee guards offer strategic padding to protect the knee in freestyle, trick riding, and racing. Streamlined fit allows them to easily go underneath your jeans or pants.

Comments about Troy Lee Designs T-Bone Knee Guards:

I was deciding between the g-form knee pads and these ones at the store, and ended up wanting more protection and chose these. The bike shop guy told me that they were super comfortable even though they look bulky and he was correct!

After putting them on they look pretty bulky, but once you start riding you can barely tell they're on... and when you take that fall you'll be glad you had them. They have pretty good protection and have saved me from hurting myself on quite a few falls. The side protection is there but very thin and more for minor bumps/abrasions. I did have a tree branch stab me in the side right where the foam was super thin and left a decent bruise, but it was still better than not having it.

I bought a medium, and have no issues with it moving/sliding around.

One of the negatives I have is that the harsh part of the velcro material is facing outward so my shorts get caught on it and it's tearing up the material on some of my nice mtb shorts (like the pockets get caught on it). The solution is that velcro them all the way so that none of it is exposed, but that could be too tight for some people. I wish they put the soft side facing outwards and the strap part having the harsh material.

Comments about Troy Lee Designs T-Bone Knee Guards:

Had these for about a month. They are comfortable and lightweight, but they do give abrasion burns and may not hold up. Took a couple of crashes to the left knee. They gave abrasion burns, but did not come off. A crash to the right, same thing, but the stitches began ripping at the knee cap and burned a hole in the mesh. Took back to my LBS and they showed it to their TLD rep who would not warranty it because it had been made in an impact! Since that is the very point of a knee pad, if TLD will not warranty it for failing to hold up doing exactly what it was made to do, then I cannot recommend the product.

Comments about Troy Lee Designs T-Bone Knee Guards:

Had these pads since 2007. Ive only ever ridden with these pads. Good padding all over, look racey. Only down side i can think if is they get ichy if your constantly riding and dont clean them. They get hot too so i cut the back mesh out of them.

Comments about Troy Lee Designs T-Bone Knee Guards:

Not a happy consumer and won't be wearing it anymore. The main reason I bought it was for protection and it didn't protect my knee when I needed it the most.
