Outlaw 26" Wheelset
This is one of our favorite and most popular wheelsets here at Jenson. Why?
  • Super versatile. Front wheel converts easily from quick-release to 20mm throughaxle using the included parts. Use QR with your existing fork and then switch to 20mm if you ever upgrade your fork
  • wheel converts from 12x135mm throughaxle to quick-release (again, all parts included). So they're easily adaptable to your multiple bikes and forks.
They’re also super strong, one of the few inexpensive wheelsets that stands up to aggressive FR/DH use. Also ideal as an all-rounder wheelset for bigger, taller riders.
  • 12x142mm rear axle kit sold separately, HU254Z02
  • Hubs are standard 6-bolt IS disc rotor type and feature smooth sealed cartridge bearings
  • Nice wide rim offers plenty of support for todays larger casing tire.
  • Rear hub accepts Shimano/SRAM compatible 8/9/10 cassettes
  • Approx Weight front 1135g, rear 1317g

Select the 135mm version for most modern mountain bikes or 150mm for some aggressive use bikes that require this specific size.

Nice sturdy wheels, I have no worries about failure while hammering down rocky trails. I have a hardtail bike and the back wheel takes a beating. My previous wheel had double wall rims that were starting to open up at the butt weld on the rear wheel. My only complaint is there are too many advertising decals, 4 on each side of the wheel. I used a hair dryer to warm them up, then carefully peeled 3 of the 4 decals off of each side. Tedious process. The rims have an outer width of 31mm, in case you're ordering a Stan's Tubeless system.

Im a 220 lb male who has been slowely tuning my Bikes Direct Mountain bike to tackle very rugged technical singletrack in the Northeast. My bike is surprisingly capable for the money but nevertheless I thought upgrading to a stronger cooler looking wheel was in order. The outlaws have great reviews for their strength and are recommended for bigger cyclists so the marketing hype got me. I was initially disappointed with the cheap stickers on the wheels that weren't even perfectly placed on the wheel but standing back the wheels do look cool. I tried to run non UST Nevegals with Gorilla tape and it failed miserably, so I went back to tubes and got to riding. The wheels are very smooth and offer an advantage in what seems to be less friction and easier power transfer. I ride very rugged singletrack and they held up nicely through rocks, roots and mud pits. Unfortunately I did biff hard and now the front wheel is very out of true. I would understand this, but the no name wheels that came on the bike have been with me through far more violent crashes and never bent at all. Ultimately Im angry at myself for dropping 360 dollars on flashy wheels. I think its time to re-examine my priorities as a mountain biker.

I have a set of Outlaws and they outlasted my bike. I cracked the frame on my Astrix Stryke, so I bought an Intense Uzzi frame and put the Outlaws on the new bike. Still going strong. I'm 6'and 230 pounds. The rims are about the only component that haven't given me any trouble.

Comments about Azonic / O'Neal Azonic Outlaw 26" Wheelset:

I am the type of person who prefers to have bomb proof wheels over light weight, high priced wheels. I have been running these wheels on my 2011 Giant Faith and have not had a single problem with them. I recently put a set on another bike and those have not had a problem either. We have had a few pinch flats while going through rock gardens and the wheels have not dented from it. I live in New Mexico and almost all of the riding here has chunky rock. So in all, these are the best wheels for anyone who doesn't want any problems when on the trail.

Purchased the Outlaw's for my Transition Bottlerocket "budget minded" build. Very nice set of wheels for the price and would not hesitate buying another set in the future. Bonus that all the adapters for different sized axles are include (except a 10mm rear).

I have two sets of these rims. One I have set up tubeless with some Hans Dampf tires. The other is set up with some Kenda K-rads that I use for the road. Im 250lbs and havent bent a rim yet. They can take a beating and are light enough to ride all day.

Comments about Azonic / O'Neal Azonic Outlaw 26" Wheelset:

This wheelset was a replacement for a freeride bike and was a great match. I'm about 215 lbs and hard on my equipment so I was willing to go with a heavier wheel to gain some durability. Unfortunately my bike has a 10mm rear axle while the wheels come with a 12mm axle or a quick release. I ordered the 12 to 10mm Azonic Momentum axle (Jenson doesn't carry this for some reason). It wasn't expensive but could have been included with the wheelset (or option to select) to save me the hassle and time
