Almost overnight a "dropper" or height-adjustable seatpost has become the must-have item for long-travel bikes. Why? Posts like the Reverb, give you the ability to quickly lower your saddle for control on tricky sections, then raise it to a pre-determined height for efficient pedaling sections.

The Reverb does other models one better, with a full hydraulic handlebar remote button (left side) for silky-smooth performance.
OE items are new items that may be missing originally packaging.
  • Ride height is infinitely adjustable across 125mm/5”
  • Built with high-quality seals, as used in Rockshox forks
  • Claimed 515 grams
  • Constructed of 3d forged 7050 aluminum alloy
  • Remotely operated by Xloc push button (left side)
  • 30.9mm diameter and 420mm length

How did I live without one?

I've always been a weight wienie and the weight of a dropper kept me from buying one for a long time. After another steep rock garden crash on my 71 degree angle XC bike I decided to ignore the extra weight.
I never realized what a difference a dropper can make!
The Reverb is well made, easy to service, and the SRAM network means parts or repairs are close and fast.
My only disappointment was that the hose was stiff and crammed into the box so tight that it had to be warmed with a hot air gun and pulled straight before it could be fitted nicely to the frame.
Unless you have a very large bike you will need to shorten the hose so buy the bleed kit and a bottle of oil at the same time.
This is a great product, well worth the price and the weight penalty.

This is my second Reverb... First post worked great but I got a new bike and needed a different tube size. The OE product is like new.

This came with my Santa Cruz 5010. I weigh 145 pounds and while I ride hard, I am not hard on my equipment. After 6 miles, the post started to sag about 1.5". After the next ride, the handlebar post release failed to go back to the closed position. It became impossible to use as you couldn't make adjustments and it wouldn't return to full "up".

This isn't ready for prime time and Rock Shocks has got to be embarrassed by this.

Took it back to the bike shop and they couldn't fix it either. Sent it back to the factory after 2 days of use. I won't be putting it back on the bike when the factory replacement comes in.

I bought the right hand lever model and mounted it to the left side upside down. I recommend doing it like this if you are going to use the included "discrete" lever as opposed to mounting it to your SRAM shift lever as it tucks it under the bar and gives it what I think is a better look and more natural angle.

The instruction manual was a joke. Possibly the worst I've encountered considering the technical and mechanical nature of this product.

After mounting the seatpost and the lever... The Seatpost wouldn't work. It just flat out wouldn't move at all when pressing the lever. I bled and rebled the system, I think 4 times in the end before I got it working. I suspect it could be because the seatpost sat in a box for a long time before it got to me, but still, it was pretty upsetting. I also bled the air and repumped it while trying to get it working, but in the end I think it was just the remote lever fluid that was to blame.

I can't say anything for durability or long-time ownership yet. I tried it in front of my house and it seems to work well now.

The travel is perfect. Not too much side to side play compare to other adjustable seat post that I tried.
