I needed to replace my cracked fork on my Raleigh, did some research and reviews which brought me to this great priced fork. It's a pretty piece for sure I actually bought another one for my project bike now I hits two! Ride is stiffer compared to my Raleigh xxix that's all I can relate it to.

Salsa's Cromoto Grande was around before I started riding 29er's and has always had a reputation. It is no-nonsense, no frills, but it doesn't need to be anything more.
The build quality is good and it shows when you ride it. Nothing makes a 29er track better than a rigid fork and this one does it all in style and for not a lot of green.
Keep one around with a crown race installed for fast swap-outs when you aren't going all day rocky downhilling.
