I bought this in black so the Salsa logos aren't very noticeable. It was my first time wrapping a bar and I had no problem with the installation.

If you like the feel of cork tape this is hard to beat.

I like the no stick backing because it makes it easier to install. So far it has held in place and seems liike it will continue to not slip.

I was very disappointed with this tape. I am a big fan of Salsa products and own 2 of their frames. Unfortunately this tape is NOT up to the task. The stuff feels cheap and plastically. It's ok to install no backing adhesive but thats ok with me so I can remove it if I need to. I am used to Cinelli cork tape and this stuff just isn't as nice. I haven't had a chance to see how the tape is in the wet but I am betting it's slippery. Pass this product by and grab the good stuff. There is a reason Cinelli tape cost $26 a box.

Very nice tape, really like the cork feel and is relatively thick which results in a good amount of padding. It costs a bit more than the generic brands but the difference in quality shows. Like the fact that it does not use adhesive to secure to the bars, which always creates a mess later on when removing the tape.

The bar tape itself is fine. Red is very much red. Plus there's enough of it to do a 46cm bar. The result is on the fat and spongy side of comfortable.

However, the bar plugs are laughably cheap looking in their fake chrome plasticness. Plus, despite being a Salsa product, they were far too small for a Salsa Cowbell drop bar. If you have 20mm ID bars then the bar plugs won't fit.

Also the end tape with its fancy chillis...too short to be of any real use. Plus when you stretch it out all those beautifully rendered chillis get stretched into weirdly wonky shapes which just looks stupid. So black electrical tape is the go...

Tape is fine but the trimmings are rubbish. So one could argue about the value for money...

Best tape I've used, I prefer it to Cinelli and some other gel tapes I've tried. It has nice grip and wraps very well on the bars. Multiple color choices is a big plus.

Generally this is ok tape, but it was much softer than I expected. If you stretch it tight, it's OK, though. I bought red, but the color turned out to be closer to hot pink.

The tape was ready to go right out of the box. It was the first tape that I have ever bought and have ever replaced for that matter. I bought the tape mainly because of the other good reviews but also becuase I liked the color and thought it would match up well on my black/blue Specialized Allez. I had both sides wrapped in no time! I did reference a "how to" video on YouTube but other than that it is a simple process for almost anyone.

Wrapped a new handlebar with these grips and have put about 100 miles on the bike so far without issue. They provide a solid, comfortable grip and the color is very bright (I purchased the red model).

A good quality tape that give the appearance of leather at a fraction of the cost. Color blends well with a dark brown Brooks saddle or honey color. It doesn't have the super sticky backing or paper tape to remove so a breeze to put on and seems as though it would be reusable. I have it on 2 bikes.
