Bought a new bike with an awful seat post clamp that would slip no matter how tight or how much carbon paste I used. Bought the Salsa due to good reviews (and partially because of the color choice) and I could not be happier. The part looks good on my bike and doesn't let the post slip (even after I cleaned off the carbon paste from th post and tube).

I purchased this item to use on a frame equipped with a Rock Shok reverb seatpost, therefore I didn't need quick releasability. This seems like a well made item, but the bike is not finished yet, therefore unridden. I have had good luck with Salsa QR collars, hopefully this one will be the same.

I am the only rider to use my bike, so I do not need to make quick adjustments for changing leg legenths. Cam locks tend to slip down. This lock does not slip down.

The OEM quick release collar on my Jamis would not stop slipping, no matter how tight I closed it. Not being a fan of QR collars anyway, this Salsa collar was perfect. It hasn't moved once since installed. Order based on the diameter of your seat tube.
