I use these handlebars on my single speed mountain bike. I have had issues with my hands going numb so I wanted to try something a little bit out of the ordinary. I have been extremely happy with how these perform. My hands don't go numb when I am riding. I don't have to hang on as tightly as I would with other handlebars because of the drops and how they position your upper body. The only negative thing I have to say about these is how much they weigh but I didn't buy them to be a weight weenie. I bought them to fulfill a purpose and they do what I bought them to do: keep my hands from going numb.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

These are really nice handlebars, but they didn't work for my purposes. I put them on my cross bike, which does a lot of off road duty, and they were great for that. I also commute with this bike, however, and the wide flare made it really hard to fit into the rack at my office. For a dedicated off road bike, however, I think they'd be awesome.

I put these on my Surly cross check after trying many different bars drops,mustache,flats. I just could never get something that felt right. Till I got these these feel right so much so I got a second set for my road bike .

I have a pair of these handle bars on my road tour bike and just added them to my Salsa Fargo for off road bikepacking. Great trail leverage in the drops or on the hoods. The shallow drop makes time in the drops a real pleasure. These are a bit heavy. They are solid for a reason. Get on the lower bars and hop on the pedals. No flexy, I'll take it.
