Schwalbe Racing Ralph 29" Evo Tire

The Racing Ralph is lightweight and features a unique tread pattern that has gathered fans from around the world. The Racing Ralph is fast due to the off- center central tire pattern. This design allows you to reach high speeds but doesn’t skimp on grip. The side knobs provide excellent traction while cornering, but aren’t too aggressive, therefore the bike is still agile.

  • Tubeless ready
  • Wheel Size: 29”
  • Intended Use: Cross Country

I have about 1200 miles on these and plan to replace back tire next year. Only had one flat and it was my fault hitting a huge root uphill and with major force coming out of a creek bed. I'm not sure why there are bad reviews above. I don't run tubeless so that might help. Tires are on a Giant Anthem X 29er. There are two versiopns of this tire and the cheaper one seems to be consistently poor. I've had nothing but good luck with these and I'm traditionally a Continental Fan.

I ride 3-5 Times a week in the dry rocky conditions around Phoenix AZ and it just destroyed this tire. They worked fairly well on dry kitty-litter consistency soil and even handled themselves in muddy conditions. After about 100 miles on my front and rear set, I have put a fatal tear in the rear's sidewall, and the front has lost most turning capability in hard pack and pavement due to corner nobbies are ripping (which is common with schwalbe tires) I've already had a set of Nobby Nics and did not care for them. These are also very expensive for the quality of the product

Comments about Schwalbe Racing Ralph 29" Evo Tire:

I had Rocket Rons at 2.25" aggressive, but this is faster and with the added width, about as much grip. Haven't ripped a Snake Skin sidewall yet, haven't even flatted.

Comments about Schwalbe Racing Ralph 29" Evo Tire:

this is a great tire with tons of grip. it lasts long enough. it's durable enough for a front tire but I did shred one on the rear. My one complaint is that I was unable to seat the bead without an air compressor. I gave up after 30 min and went to my LBS.

I found these tires to be fast rolling and good on buttery smooth trails...However, They will not hold up well on rocky, technical terrain. I had two of these tires fail at the sidewall in almost the exact way.

Comments about Schwalbe Racing Ralph 29" Evo Tire:

These tires roll fast, spin up quick and are pretty sticky on all the trails I've ridden in the mid-west. I even rode one on the rear for a week in Moab. That said, they are basically a race day tire. It says as much on Schwalbes website, so don't expect them to survive sharp rocks. They are designed for speed, not durability.

Comments about Schwalbe Racing Ralph 29" Evo Tire:

These are my favorite racing tire for courses that don't have a lot of sharp rocks. Excellent on the East Coast terrain. Grips great on the high speed corners and rolls fast. Unfortunately, once I left the course and used them to ride my favorite rocky local trails they basically fell apart. Like others said the sidewalls are paper thin.

Ive tried all 3 sizes and I have been happy with all of them. They roll fast, corner well, and are very light weight for 29" tires. They do pretty good on loose over hard pack, but they excel on socal hard pack.

Comments about Schwalbe Racing Ralph 29" Evo Tire:

I've gotten some pinch flats even with stans. For an XC race tire thats light they grip fantastically. They just wear fast. In about 500 miles I have a few holes on the treadside and a few small ones on the sidewall. One hole is to big to fill with stans. For race tires they are great.
