Schwalbe Racing Ralph 29", Tire, No PCKG

The Racing Ralph is lightweight and features a unique tread pattern that has gathered fans from all corners of the earth. The Racing Ralph owes its absurd speed to its off-center central tire pattern. This design allows the tread to open up and gallop in a hurry, without expensing grip. The side knobs provide excellent traction while cornering, but aren’t very aggressive, keeping the ride compliant and agile.

Side walls are like swiss cheese.
If you are going tubeless forget about these. Too many pinholes.I used two and returned two. They have a Niner label on them.If you want a training tire and you are using a tube. Go for it.

Sidewall has lots of tiny holes in it!
I mounted this on a new Stans no tubes rim and used thr proper amount of sealant. The sidewall has so many pinholes in it that it won't hold air. Think this tire is defective.
Don't buy!

The title says 29", the description says 27.5". Which is it?

BEST ANSWER: I bought one (wanting a 29er) and that's what I got! You just have to believe!
Does the 2.1 perform good as a good XC tire? Or cornering will be compromised?

BEST ANSWER: Not knowing your baseline makes it hard to answer your question. This is not a mud/sand/snow tire and will swim in those compared to more aggressive tires, but they ride far less smoothly overall on 95% of the riding I do (Colorado Rockies). I moved from Thunder Burts to this for winter riding and love the more aggressive grip and cornering and handling (less swimming in loose stuff -- mud/snow/sand). For the riding I do, it's the best XC tire I've found yet.
