This is a great fix if you don't want to spend the cash for a new seat post. Just be careful if you have a carbon seat post; you'll need to ensure that the clamp is very tight - the seat post will try to slide by the shim and may damage it a bit. Once it cinched the clamp - the seat post never moved again. I use a EC70 seat post.

Does what it is intended to, great for reusing a smaller diameter seatpost in a larger frame. Does tend to be a tad annoying if you adjust your seatpost a lot as it moves with the post. Has a lip so you don't lose it in your seat tube.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
