The best thing about this CO2 pump is that it takes 12 oz. CO2 cartridges which are the most widely available at any sporting goods store and also are the least expensive. The pump also has the capability to inflate both shrader or presta valve tubes, which comes in handy when you are trying to help someone in need with a different valve type. The 12 oz CO2 cartridges are a little slim on volume of air which adds to the weight of an already heavier pump having to carry multiple cartridges. But I think the cost savings gained by purchasing standard 12 oz cartridges is a trade worth making.
