The Serfas Thunderbolt (USL-6) gives you high performance and endless mounting options, and is a stellar bargain buy. The 15- micro (double strength) LED strip puts out 90 lumens, giving you plenty of light as you safely ride to your destination. The light can be seen up to 1 mile away, giving cars ample time to move out of your path. With 3 light settings, you’ll always be ready for what’s ahead. You won’t find yourself riding to your local 24 hour pharmacy for batteries any more, as the USL-6 Thunderbolt is USB rechargeable!
--I use this light on the handlebar of my Cannondale Badboy 1, which I use as a police patrol bike. --This light is incredibly bright. So much so that I ride it on its lower flash setting mostly. While on patrol, I find it quick and easy to turn on and off, it's weather resistant, and very rugged. It looks awesome on a black bar, and it truly is an incredible beacon for cars to see me at night. I haven't had any issued with charging time or battery life. --It is not bright enough to be used as a headlight for illuminating your path. 90 lumens may sound like enough, but it's so dispersed that it's almost worthless for that. It's a "Here I am, don't run me over." light. I will buy another for my motorcycle. Cheers from Florida... Jim
PROS: Rechargable, Long battery life, Great visibility, Low battery indicator
I've never seen bike lights with better car visibility, and the front one can be slightly helpful as a headlight for potholes on dark streets. It's true, you may need to charge them about once a week. It's extremely frustrating when they run out of batteries. I don't really understand the low battery indicator. Overall I'm quite happy with mine, as long as I keep them charged. They make me feel safer in traffic at night.
PROS: Great visibility
CONS: Short battery life
BEST USES: Night commute, Rear safety light, Front headlight
Use this light for commuting from work to home at night. About a 45-minute ride. Cannot get through a work week on one charge. I use the blink mode, and I have to cycle though several other mode everytime I turn it on.
PROS: Easy to Use, Durable, Bright And Easy To Attach, Lightweight
