Comments about Shimano 105 FC-5750 Compact Crank w/o BB:

I've always loved the 105 component set. I've upgraded my old X bike to a 105 drivetrain because I abuse this bike and the quality is great. I've taken this bike all over the world and ridden it in lots of diff environments - the 105 group puts up with a lot. I know you can find lighter stuff, but I've grown to love this group that takes constant abuse and keeps on ticking.

Comments about Shimano 105 FC-5750 Compact Crank w/o BB:

I find this crank to be an excellent upgrade to my eight year old Giant TCX 0. I commute on this bike about thirty miles each week, but spend the weekend pumping out 60+ miles and I have definitely found this to be a worthwhile upgrade.

Comments about Shimano 105 FC-5750 Compact Crank w/o BB:

The five-bolt pattern on the 5750 makes it a perfect match with PowerTap C1 chainrings. Shimano is now producing four-bolt pattern cranks which are not compatible.

Comments about Shimano 105 FC-5750 Compact Crank w/o BB:

        Commuting and group rides.

Everything I wanted. I needed to reduce my Q-factor (distance between feet) and so I updraded to the Shimano 105 comparct Crankset, and I never looked back.

The hollowtech tube makes it stiff and efficient, matched with the 105 chain, shifting is so fluid. And having the smaller q-factor makes my riding experience much more enjoyable

It looks really good in black, but I am clumbsy and I have chipped the paint easily. Additionally, I was wearing sneakers for a while and the constant rubbing on the crank arms removed the paint.

If you are wise and already have cleats and take good care of the aesthtics of your bike, that should be no problem.

Comments about Shimano 105 FC-5750 Compact Crank w/o BB:

Great compact crank from Shimano's workhorse line. This thing actually looks good too with it's combination gloss and flat black paint job on the black version. Perfect crank for rolling hills and moderate climbing. Great quality!! Try it 10mm shorter than you normally use for a really smooth, powerful spin.

Comments about Shimano 105 FC-5750 Compact Crank w/o BB:

Wanted to switch over to a compact set up to help me up some very steep grades in an area I like to ride, and unfortunately a new bike isn't in the budget right now, :(... Ordered a set of these in 50/34T in Silver and had them installed on my 10yr old bike, and Presto! I now have compact gearing.

My bike has a mix of older Ultegra/105 9 speed stuff, but these 10 speed cranks run smooth and shift well, with no additional modifications other than a new, properly lengthened Ultegra 9 speed chain. Feel noticeably stiffer than the older Ultegra 9 spd cranks they've replaced. New external BB is like butter. S-h-i-n-y...they look awesome too. Looked a bit alien to me at first, but they've grown on me and compliment my mongrel gruppo nicely. They come in my size 172.5 too.

Always great JensonUSA prices, quick delivery and customer service too! Very happy!

Comments about Shimano 105 FC-5750 Compact Crank w/o BB:

I'm a tall dude but I prefer shorter cranks. I got this as an upgrade to the cranket on my cross bike- the 110 BCD gives you a nice low gear, and the 50t outer is maybe a bit tall for cross but it's easily swapped. Rings are high quality, whole setup is lightweight and shifts well. Nice alternative (and easier to find) than the cross-specific version if you are looking for a 165 setup like me.

Comments about Shimano 105 FC-5750 Compact Crank w/o BB:

I bought this as an upgrade for my first aluminum road bike that came with a triple crank. As I got stronger I decided to get rid of the triple crank and upgrade to this 105 Compact crank and I have never looked back. I also upgraded many other components including the cassette and with this 50/34 crank and the 11-28 cassette I have never felt at a loss on any hill.

I am very happy with this crank. I use this bike when I ride into NYC and I have to go up several fairly large hils on my way to the George Washington Bridge and I am very pleased.
