I have found that while attempting to shift, I never know when I have moved the lever far enough to get the next gear. Move it too far and do a double shift, move it to little and don't shift at all or won't seat properly on the next cog.
Otherwise a quality made product.

I've used a lot of different shimano groups including 3 different modern (sti) iterations of 105. That being said, the internal cable routing through the base of the hoods was a mistake. I know it looks better, and cleans up the bar area, but it shifts noticeably worse than 5600 did. The brake action is fine if not a little improvide as they did change the levers a bit to grant more leverage from higher on the levers, but that's about it.
The addtional cable routing into the hood base makes for a very wide area for your palm to rest on, which can feel unnatural and uncomfortable at times. This is something I got used to over time, though.
I also had the rear shifter completely stop shifting. 5 minutes with boeshield resolved the shifting issue, I do a lot of gravel riding on this rig, so that is probably the culprit.
All in all, I would not buy these shifters again.

Excellent, slightly uncomforable for people with smaller hands, but if you used Ultegra or Dura Ace, you'll be at home.
