I've now put these on 2 of my mountains bikes so far to replace the older, worn cranks. They are on my Specialized Rockhopper and my Gary Fisher Marlin bikes, and are very stout, all-around good cranks. They are not as good as the Deore, or other more expensive cranks, as they can't take quite as much abuse.

      All around, a great buy!

Comments about Shimano Alivio FC-M410 Compact Crank Set:

I use this crank on my comfort bike and mountain bike. After two years of use it is going stong. Replaced my mountain crank with Alivio after cracking the stock crank in half. I am a stong former professional rider who can't afford high emd equipment. I weigh 190lb at 12% body fat and have the skill to transfer hugh power to the cranks, enough to break weak ones. This Alivio crank stands up to my testing. I just wish the crank was better looking... Please be careful when removing the arms, make sure you have all the threads in and tight.

Comments about Shimano Alivio FC-M410 Compact Crank Set:

Great crank, looks good, teeth lasted well, over 14 months. BB was replaced after 6 months.I only bought a new raceface because it would be lighter and stronger with external BB etc. But for a commuter bike or some light XC its good bang for buck.I also a very light rider at around 110 pounds, perhaps that is why it lasted so well.

Comments about Shimano Alivio FC-M410 Compact Crank Set:

I'm happy with this crankset. I was going to spend $100 more and get the RF evolve for this bike too, but I couldn't see getting it for an around the town bike.
