Comments about Shimano BB ES-25 Octalink Bottom Bracket:
What can I say, its a bottom bracket; guaranteed to work 73% better than tying your cranks to your bike with string. Octalink V2, make sure you are ordering the correct version for the cranks you have and the correct width for your frame. Adjustable cup is plastic but overall the BB is very durable.

Comments about Shimano BB ES-25 Octalink Bottom Bracket:
BBs are tricky to get the right size, especially when trying to upgrade from square taper to octalink (or anything else). The length does not translate. a 126mm square taper does not mean you use a 126 octalink. Huh? anyway, a 121 worked.
Don't like the plastic left hand adapter (screws into bb left hand side) - doubt it will last very long. Guess I'll find out...

Comments about Shimano BB ES-25 Octalink Bottom Bracket:
This was the perfect direct replacement for the Shimano BB on my Trek Fuel EX. It Installed without a problem and included all documentation needed. It fit perfectly, and after a few months and few hundred miles it is running smoothly and quietly.
Comments about Shimano BB ES-25 Octalink Bottom Bracket:
I was not sure about the spindle size, so I compared it with another Trek bike and decided for the 68mm box and113mm spindle. It fitted nicely with Shimano SLX crankset. It is a good thing to use blue loctite when installing the crank bolts and check if everything is tight after the first couple of rides.
Comments about Shimano BB ES-25 Octalink Bottom Bracket:
My experience was smooth, which is why I prefer to buy online than at a premium at retail outlets. Plus, I can do without the weird ubercyclist holier than thous that work at the shops near me in the area I live in. Also, receiving the items I ordered faster than I initially expected as a real plus.
