The cost was to much for a little fluid and 25 cents worth of tubing. This is not a kit and has no useful instructions. Find a cheaper alternative or buy the large amount and split the cost with a friend.

This is basically mineral oil for the brakes with a piece of tubing which I guess makes it a bleed "kit". Unfortunately, what I didn't realize is that if you have the newer XT brakes you need another "kit" part# SM-DISC that is a funel that threads into the port on the resevoir to bleed the brakes. In any case, Shimano brakes are amazing and the mineral fluid works great but wish I realized that I needed another part to actually get the job done.

This bleed kit is a great starter pack to lead up to developing your XTR Brake bleeding skills. My XTR brakes now function alot better since I started using this kit.

It is what it is. At [$] you cant really expect too much I guess. shimano brakes are great that they dont use Dot fluid but their mineral oil is sometimes hard to find locally. So I went with Jensons as your items always arrive super fast! Shimano brakes are simple and easy to bleed. This "Kit" is only a smalle squeezy bottle and a 3" piece of tubing to push onto the end. I would prefer a syringe but the bottle works. its a small bottle of mineral oil and good for maybe 3 brake bleeds maybe 4 so you could probably do your bike twice. Im not sure I would call it a kit exactly but it is pretty much all you need and does the job. Better then paying someone else to do it. I would of given 5 stars if a syringe was included as they are easier to pressurise the system and get bubbles out. But go to your local drug store and they sell them for 45c so no biggie.

I was able to use this simple kit to bleed my xt brakes without any other equipment apart from a plastic bag for the excess fluid. cheap option that worked well. Lacked instructions, but nothing google couldn't fix.

Easy to use and does the job. Plenty of fluid for both brakes and plenty left over for bleeding your friend's brakes; just make sure you get a six pack in return.

The bleed kit comes with a squeeze bottle full of enough oil to completely bleed 3 or 4 times, about 6" of tubing and a plastic bag. I think I paid about $13 for the kit, but you are probably better off buying 1 liter of shimano mineral oil ($25) and getting the tubing and squeeze bottle/large syringe at a hardware store ($3).

Good. Brakes finally work like new. Have been acting up since this winter and all they needed was to be bled. Before you change rotors/pads bleed your brakes.

For one thing, jenson is wrong about this product. They say it includes instructions, but the only instructions are warnings such as if you inhale it you'll get diarrhea; so make sure you know what you're doing before you buy it. Another thing to keep in mind is that they also work with Shimano Deore disc brakes (which is what i have). Other than soiling myself from sniffing too much of it, it worked great.
