The price has shot up almost 2.5 times on these. I bought 3 about 7 years ago and am still using my first one. I dribbled some heavy oil (like Finish Line Winter/Wet or Phil Tenacious) into the the mechanism and it is quiet and smooth now. No dissasembly required.
I have this freewheel installed on my singlespeed bike ridden in the wet and rainy months.

I got this orriginally for my single speed mountain bike. Didn't like the engagement and felt like there was a bit more resistance. I went back to my Excess Freewheels. Won't be using this as a primary again any time soon. It lives for now on the flip side of my Surly Steamroller as a emergency back up for fixed riding.

I used it as a freewheel option on a fixie. It's easy to install. It makes some noise, but it's not as bad some other options out there. You get what you pay for.

This is the gold standard when it comes to BMX freewheels. Had the competitors very expensive freewheel fail causing a HUGE wipeout! Now that I am healed I am back to the tried and true Shimano product. Never failed yet.

Most of the complaints I hear from others just aren't terribly valid. If your cranks spin, for example, your chain tension is too tight. With a freewheel, if you need to slow down, of course you need to use the brakes. Every freewheel wobbles lightly, as does nearly every freehub cassette. It's a solid product for the price. It's not a perfect product, but it's fine.
