I've had this on my '01 Fisher Big Sur for the last 3 years, it has worked flawlessly over about a thousand miles. It might be on the heavy side (just a few grams over XT/XTR) but it performs really well and you can't beat the price. Never had it miss a shift or cause problems.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
