Shimano PD-A600 Pedals

The Shimano A600 pedal is a premium single-sided clipless road pedal that’s compatible with 2-bolt SPD mountain cleats. By utilizing the standard 2-bolt pattern seen in mountain bike cleats, the A600 provides a larger platform for better power transfer and added comfort. The 2-bolt cleat also allows for the use of clipless mountain bike shoes, which feature a recessed cleat for improved comfort while walking when off the bike. The slim aerodynamic design reduces drag which will ultimately make you faster. Adjustable cleat tension allows you to fine-tune the pedal to your preferences and at a mere 286g a pair, can even be installed on your carbon road racing bike with little to no weight penalties.

Shimano PD-A600 Pedals Features

  • Lightest ever SPD pedal at Ultegra level
  • Wide platform for more efficient transfer of power from SPD shoes
  • Aerodynamic, single-entry SPD design
  • Recessed SPD shoe compatible allows off the bike walking
  • Adjustable entry and release tension setting
  • Weight: 286g

Comments about Shimano PD-A600 Pedals:

I ride a focus Izalco Ergo and prefer MTB shoes over road shoes. This pedal is super light and works well for me. The single sided entry requires a little bit more attention than the standard SPD pedal, but that's not much of a deal on a road bike. Besides, the silver-grey color matches my 6700 series Ultegra gruppo perfectly. Hint: Although the Jenson website calls them 'navy', they are just as grey as anywhere else. The photo may mislead.
