Slightly pricier option than most bike stands. I have a 700c 2015 Giant Defy and I went with the more affordable PRO Bike Stand in Black for 29ers and 700c road bikes. I found out that the above stand does not work with all 700c, the reason being that Giant went with Disc Brakes for many of their road bikes this year, and the way the wheel is constructed allows no room for the 29"/700c fitting PRO Bike Stand. I had to pay for return shipping and purchase the more expensive PRO Adjustable Bike Stand. This stand fits well as I can adjust it to that very narrow range that would accommodate the little space there is for the Disc Brake equipped wheel to be supported by the stand. It is sturdy however it doesn't hold your bike straight up as you might have imagined. There is a slight tilt which cannot be removed even with further adjustment. Setting the adjustment slightly higher would start to improve the tilt but the rear tire would easily slide away from the stand due to loss of static friction and the natural tilting that occurs from the supporting arm. If you have disc brakes on your road bike, this stand works well, just expect the tilt, even with a light carbon road bike.

PROS: Durable, Easy to Use

It worked for my 27.5" mountain bike--but in a very limited capacity. If you're trying to work on, or clean your bike you will realize that it's easy to knock your bike off. But for storage it's great! Purchase accordingly!
