wanted to go to road bars on a commuter bike and didn't have any braze on for down tube shift leavers. didn't think i would like bar end shifters, but i have to say after using them for almost a year i am sold. love it with a triple crank. shifts easily and no chain rub.

Absolutely HATED the 2300 shifters that came on my 2010 Jamis Satellite Sport. Ordered a pair of these, put 'em into a Nitto Randoneur handlebar.
Set both up for friction shift...NOW we're talking!
If you're riding an 8 speed, you're probably NOT a Tour de France wannabe. You want a set of shifters that don't break the bank, won't break and leave you stranded out in the toolies, and are an extreme joy to use, these are your shifters. Indexing?....WHAT is the POINT, especially with a front derailleur? Set these up the way God intended, in friction shift mode, and enjoy riding the way we ALWAYS rode, until the marketing driven racing wannabe stuff took over in the 90's...Oh, very well...you can set up the rear indexed, if you like. But at least TRY the front derailleur in friction shift mode...you WON'T go back!

Used these in combination with Tektro brake levers for V-brakes to convert Specialized Sirrus Hybrid (8-speed cassette) to Drop bars for touring. Indexing was a breeze to get working, but also works great in friction mode. I love having friction ability again for my front derailer; perfect alignment every time. Package came with all bits needed (lubed cables, housings, cable stops, cable end caps).

Used these when I converted my hybrid with drop bars. Easy to install and SUPER easy to use. Many people tried to sway me away from these saying it was hard to shift, but for commuting, these were a breeze! The option to switch the right shifter from index to friction was also nice. My ONE complaint with these is when in a middle gear (and the shifter sticks straight out), sometimes when standing and pedaling my knee would brush against the shifter (not enough to shift gears though), so I had to keep that in mind.

Converted my hybrid to drop bars using these. They are some great easy to use shifters. The front is friction, so it makes shifting that front derailleur easy to do so, especially if your setup requires a lot of trim. The rear is indexed and can be switched to friction so it would work with any setup.

Installation was super easy, gearing setup fast and accurate, am able to use the index shifting on my 7 speed setup which I didn't expect to do. No problems except for a little cable stretch which I expected. Had to modify the cable stop attachment because of damaged shifter braze-ons on my bike, which is what led me to change to bar-end shifters in the first place. Really happy with the product easy setup and the prompt service from Jensen.

Great. They were easy to install, worked perfect right away. I spent way too much time trying to adjust my brifters to work with my 22/32/44 front crank. This product solved my problem immediately. They are good on the road as well.
