Shimano SLX M675B Pre-Bled Disc Brake

Coming to a stop is much harder than it sounds, especially when you’re bombing down a run at 30 miles an hour. The Shimano M675 brakes provide ample stopping power to bring you to a complete halt.

These hydraulic disc brakes feature Shimano's Ice-Technology. Heat from friction can cause rapid temperature increases and cause brake fade. Ice-Tech allows heat to dissipate quickly to keep braking even and predictable. With the decrease in temperature, brake pad life is also prolonged.

It doesn't stop there. SLX brakes adopt many of the top-end technologies from XTR and XT, including Servo-Wave modulation and ceramic pistons, making these brakes feel amazing and powerful. These brakes require only a single finger to reach full braking power. At a lower cost than XT and XTR, these benefits are hard to beat.

Finally, SLX brakes are easy to gravity-bleed, meaning you get back on the dirt faster. One-way bleeding is much faster and cleaner than competing brake bleeding systems.

Comments about Shimano SLX BR-M675 Disc Brake:

Put a set of these on my new hardtail. Great stopping power. They seem to squeak a little when wet, but that is common with other brakes too. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

Comments about Shimano SLX BR-M675 Disc Brake:

Got both the front and the back brake to replace the 10 years old Hayes brakes on the MTB. Easy to install, relatively easy to shorten the hose. Much nicer bleeding procedure than the old Hayes. Good modulation, good 1 finger braking power. Maybe you could want better power/modulation/ lighter weight, but for all practical use you don't. I'm thinking about buying another pair for my girlfriend's bike.

Comments about Shimano SLX BR-M675 Disc Brake:

Get basically the same brakes as the more expensive versions for a much friendlier price, and very minimal weight gain. Front assembly came out of the box at 298 grams. Stopping power is excellent! I started by just replacing the front brake (my Juicy 3s failed), it took some getting used to, because of how much stronger the new brake is.

Comments about Shimano SLX BR-M675 Disc Brake:

Upgraded from the Avid Elixir 1 brakes that came on my bike. Definitely an improvement over the Avid brakes. I weigh in at 220lbs and the stopping power is amazing and I haven't experienced any brake fade. I would recommend these brakes to anyone looking for a budget friendly upgrade, just be prepared to shorten the hose. I installed these brakes on a size large hardtail 29er and had to shorten the hose by almost 14 inches.

                          Hello,
These brakes are pre-bled, but they have full-length lines which means you may need to cut and bleed them to get them to the correct length for your frame. As such, Shimano does include the compression olive, needle, bleed block and hose clamp block.
                          Cheers!
