Coming to a stop is much harder than it sounds, especially when you’re bombing down a run at 30 miles an hour. The Shimano M675 brakes provide ample stopping power to bring you to a complete hault. The hydraulic disc brakes feature Ice technology. Heat from friction can cause rapid temperature increases and cause brake fade. Ice technology allows heat to dissipate quickly to keep braking even. With the decrease in temperature brake pad life is also prolonged.

One way bleeding means you get back on the dirt faster. It is much faster and cleaner than competing brake bleeding systems.

  • Intended for Mountain Biking/ Cross Country/ Enduro Riding
  • One Way Bleeding
  • Ice Technology
  • Adoption of Ceramic Piston
Rotors are not included.

Comments about Shimano SLX M675 Disc Brake:

I purchased these as an upgrade from Avid Elixir 5's. I can't say enough about how much better these SLX brakes are, great modulation, quiet, no fade. I have full confidence that these brakes will do exactly as i need them. They are bigger, with the reservoir, than the closed system brakes out there, but you won't get the quality feel, and even if the rotors get hot, you don't see a lot of fade as a result in the SLX brakes. Just a solid component that does what it's supposed to.

Comments about Shimano SLX M675 Disc Brake:

I have a 2010 Santa Cruz Bullit that i use to do Enduro which pretty much is pedal the uphill to shred big the downhill time. I had 2010 Hayes Stroker Trail that i replaced with this Shimano SLX brakes and even that both brake systems are dual piston, this SLX are such an amazing improvement to my bike, the breaking power is amazing and it doesn't fade when breaking continuously or hard. The first time i used them i actually took a fall because of the power this brakes provide and that i wasn't used to. Besides in wet conditions they work great. The price for this brakes is just low and fair for the great brake system you will get. Also, the Shimano one way bleeding system made it super easy to cut the brake line to adjust it to my frame, i did it in 2 minutes and no bleeding was required. The only thing i didn't like so much is that the fluid cap on the lever is a little bit bigger than i expected, but that has nothing to do with performance.

This is my first dealing with hydraulic brakes and the confidence they give while riding is awesome. Don't skimp on brakes when buying a mountain bike, good brakes mean everything, esp if you weigh 200lbs.

Comments about Shimano SLX M675 Disc Brake:

Great upgrade for my trail bike from some old BB7's that were well used/worn. Easy installation and look really great with some new 180mm rotors. Stopping power is better than expected. Once the pads were broken in and the rotors were bedded the modulation is fantastic. I really can tell no difference between these and XT. If you want to win the parking lot contest go XT. If you want a great break and want to save some cash, go SLX.

Comments about Shimano SLX M675 Disc Brake:

These brakes came stock on my XC bike and I thought I would have to replace them for better power and modulation, however, after a ride using them I knew that was not the case. I like to ride very technical trails and race XC and these brakes have proven to be all I need. They are not the lightest out there but they do their job well
