Comments about Shimano Tourney TX35 Rear Derailleur:

I used this to replace the old broken derailleur on my grandsons mountain bike. He was very sad when the original broke. We went to Jenson on line , they had what looks to be the exact part, for and excellent price. Installed in minutes.
Now all is well . Just I can't keep up with the boys.

Comments about Shimano Tourney TX35 Rear Derailleur:

Bought this to replace an old 6 speed tourney derailleur that had a stripped bolt and was banged up, could not believe how inexpensive this was. The hanger bolt on other websites was $4-5. Now my son has a new funtioning derailleur for about $7.

Comments about Shimano Tourney TX35 Rear Derailleur:

its cheap, simple and works just fine for every day use. Durable enough for my satisfaction. I know these derailleurs when they age because I replace them all the time on rusty old bikes. I often re-use them because they outlast the chains and cables on abandoned bikes. The only caution with them is that the limiter screws strip easily if you leave it outside and they start to corrode. But it takes a lot of neglect for them to deteriorate enough to not work. I find them to be an overall good design for the money.

Comments about Shimano Tourney TX35 Rear Derailleur:

Replacement for a SRAM with riveted pulleys. Easy to install. Attractive though a little heavy. I ride daily in good weather from 10 to 50 miles a day. I consider myself at age 68 to be an avid recreational cyclist. I ride a older bike E recumbent. Even though installation was easy I am having minor shifting problem that I am sure my adjustments need a little further refinement. If you do not want to spend a lot the tx35 should serve you well.

I bought it for my son's bike as the old one's spring was very week. Worked perfectly. A little bigger for the kid's bike than there was one, but no issues with installation, setup and usage.

I have almost 40 years experience as an auto mechanic, but found myself confused about whether I needed the hanger-type mount, or the Direct mount. Would've been great to identify the one which is pictured.

Direct replacement for a factory derailleur on my daughter's mountain bike. Easy to install. Most challenging thing was breaking the chain without proper tools. (An that wasn't difficult.)
