In the wake of the success of the 11 Speed Dura Ace 9000 group, Shimano has recently revealed that the 11 Speed sensation was moving down the line to the more affordable Ultegra 6800 group. This race inspired group is super fast, reliable, and above all… smooth. The most anticipated and crown jewel of the new 11-speed group is the Dura-Ace proven 4 arm Ultegra 6800 Crankset. The highlighted 4 arm spider design allows chain rings to be offered in standard double, compact double, and cyclocross specific 36/46T options all on the same crank. Possibly the best part of the new Ultegra 6800 crankset is that the 4 arm design enables cross compatibility with Dura Ace 9000. You can now mix and match components depending on your price point and intentions. For example, maybe you own a Dura Ace 9000 standard double for criteriums, but you'd perfer a compact double for that upcoming climbing-intensive century. No need to empty your savings on another Dura Ace 9000 crankset, the Ultegra 6800 crankset is here to resue your wallet. The new 6800 crankset is 26 grams lighter than the previous Ultegra 6700 crankset! Shimano has hit it out of the ballpark once again!

Comments about Shimano Ultegra 6800 11 Speed Crankset:
I've been waiting for this crankset to be availble for months, and it was worth the wait. I'm using them with 10 Ultegra DI2 and haven't had any compatibility issues between 10/11 speed. Though I was hoping for hollow big ring, but with it being a 36/46 combo I'm not sure if it matters. The big ring is super stiff that I haven't had any issuse shifting under full load.
