These pedals are great and give you a strong supportive pedaling platform. Weight is a little high for the price you pay compared to other brands but that may be the price you pay for stiffness. Personally I'm willing to sacrifice for something I will stand on.

More comfortable (because of the wide platforms) and marginally smoother bearings than the Shimano R540s they replaced. They don't scratch as easily, but the paint chips where the cleats engage.
After switching to these I no longer got hot spots on my feet from 30-50 km rides.
Cleat tension is also better (stronger) on these than the R540s, as now I run them half way tight opposed to all the way tight with the old R540s.
I would probably buy the 105s as they are basically the same but for less money though if I were going to do it again. But these Ultegras are great!
