This is my 3rd pair of Shimano road cycling shoes, and have not been disappointed yet. They are always the perfect fit, like the shoes were made just for me. They are wide enough in the toe box, and narrow enough in the heel that your foot doesn't slip out on the upstroke. Great ventilation so your feet stay cool and dry.
I bought these for use on my spin bike and hybrid bike (I have a different pair of Shimanos for my road bike). Originally, I bought a pair of Lake brand shoes, figuring I'd give another manufacturer a try. I hated them - did not fit me well at all! I found these, ordered them, and have been happy ever since. I have been happy with all my Shimano cycling shoes throughout the years, I will never buy another brand!

I know this shoe is good because i have the men's version. I bought size 6.5 for my girlfriend who wears size 6, but they were too large. We are just going to keep them because it's close enough. The next size down is 5.5, and I believe that it will be too small because I wear a 10.5 men's shoe and a 10.5 Shimano shoe and it fits perfectly, so the sizing is consistent with regular shoe sizes. This model has a Velcro strap, which is not as good as a buckle in my opinion. They are light weight and stiff, however i have not tried anything high end before, so I wouldn't really know.
